OVERVIEW
Havelock is India’s best kept secret. Situated in the Andaman Islands, Havelock with its picture perfect beaches, vibrant coral reefs and lush vegetation, is a photographer’s paradise.
The island with a population of around 6000, is 39 kms by sea from the capital Port Blair. Out of the seven beaches in Havelock, Radhanagar beach is the most popular because of the beautiful sunsets and was named ‘the best beach in Asia’ by Time Magazine in 2004.
More recently, in 2016, it won the first position in Tripadvisor’s Tavellers choice of the top 25 beaches in Asia. There are some great diving and snorkeling sites around Havelock owing to the rich coral reefs surrounding the island. The days are mostly sunny, and the sea flat enough to reflect the clouds in all their glory.
